Welcome to The San Francisco Yacht Club

The officers, members and staff welcome you to The San Francisco Yacht Club. We trust that the below information will make your stay with us most enjoyable. You may also wish to refer to the Cruise Information Packet available at the Front Office upon registration.

We ask your cooperation and observance of our rules.

The privileges of this Club and the use of its facilities may be extended to members of accredited clubs and guests of members. A current membership card must be presented. All visiting yachtspersons must register at the Clubhouse, and their boats must be registered by completing the guest vessel registration forms. Upon registration you will receive a guest card. Please note that The Club has moved to accepting credit cards for visiting yachtsmen and guests. The Club now accepts Visa and Master Card for Galley, Bar and Ship’s Store purchases. There will be a modest guest fee added to these purchases. Cash will no longer be accepted. A valid personal check will be accepted for guest dock fees. 

PETS: PLEASE NOTE THAT PETS OF GUESTS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON CLUB PROPERTY, INCLUDING DECK, PARKING LOT & LAWN AREAS.

Overnight Use | $1.00 per linear foot per night.

Docks for visitors are located directly in front of the Clubhouse deck. Visitors may not enter any slip or tie up anywhere else in the harbor without first obtaining permission from either the Port Captain, the Harbor personnel, the General Manager or other designated officer. All visiting yachts must fly your club's burgee. Charges for the use of the Club Dock are as set forth in the Club Dock Rules, which are included below.

The Club may, from time to time, restrict guest berthing because of scheduled Club events, regattas, pre-scheduled cruise-ins and certain holidays. Visitors seeking accommodations should phone the Front Office at 415-435-9133 to determine space availability, noting that space is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Heads are available inside the Clubhouse and heads and showers are available in a separate building in the parking lot. Potable water is available on all docks throughout the harbor.

Use of Facilities 

In most cases, dress is casual and informal, but bathing suits, wetsuits, bare feet, sleeveless shirts for men, and torn, dirty, ripped or cut-off clothing are not appropriate in the Clubhouse.  Men are requested to remove their hats when in the Dining Room. Alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto, or removed from, the Club premises at any time. Ice is available from the ice machine near the bar. Just ask the bartender. Please note that The San Francisco Yacht Club does not accept cash. Visa and Master Card are accepted in the Ships Store, Dining Room and Bar and a modest guest fee will apply.

Groceries

Woodlands Market is a short walk, located at 1550 Tiburon Blvd, on the corner of Beach Rd and Tiburon Blvd. (415) 435-2258

Pharmacy

Directly across from Woodlands Market is CVS Pharmacy at 1599 Tiburon Blvd. This store has an ATM inside. (415) 435-3843 

Banks

Bank of America is at 1601 Tiburon Blvd, Belvedere Tiburon, on the corner of Beach Rd and Tiburon Blvd. Wells Fargo Bank is also located at 1550 Tiburon Blvd, Tiburon Belvedere, the end of the Boardwalk Shopping Center, next to the R&S Service Station. Union Bank is at 1650 Tiburon Blvd., and Chase Bank is located at 1535 Tiburon Blvd. 

Shops

There are various novelty, floral, barber and gift shops located in the Boardwalk Shopping Center. The town of Tiburon located further south along Tiburon Blvd, hosts many shops and restaurants along Ark Row, which is an historic shopping center. There is a movie theater located just behind Ark Row.

Hotels

There are two hotels located in Tiburon. The Tiburon Lodge,1651 Tiburon Blvd, Tiburon, (415) 435-3133 | (800) 762-7770, and the Waters Edge Lodge, 25 Main St, Tiburon (415) 789-5999. 

Marine Supplies

The closest available is in Sausalito at West Marine Supplies, 295 Harbor Dr, Sausalito, (415) 332-0202. 

SFYC Dock Facilities and Guest Rules

1. The Guest Dock for visitors is located in front of the Clubhouse deck. It is immediately west (toward the parking lot) of the Member's Dock. Guests may not enter any slip, or tie up anywhere else in the harbor, without first obtaining permission from the Harbor Staff, the Port Captain, the General Manager or other designated officers.

2. All visiting yachts must fly their club's burgee.

3. Vessels in distress, seeking refuge at the Club Dock, or on long passages, should make arrangements for use of the Club Dock before arrival, or as soon thereafter as possible.

4. Boats which tie or remain at the Club Dock, without permission, are subject to being removed at the expense of the owner and may be impounded for dockage fees and costs of removal.

5. The Port Captain, a Flag Officer or the General Manager may extend the stay of a boat, beyond the limitations of these rules, and may adjust charges if special circimstances dictate.

6. Potable water and power outlets are available on the Guest Dock and at individual slips. We provide 30 amp service and a limited amount of 50 amp service.

7. Bathrooms are available inside the Clubhouse and bathrooms and showers are available in the Sailing Center at the far end of the parking lot.

8. Charges for the use of the Guest Dock are $1.00 per foot per night. The Club may, from time to time, restrict guest berthing because of scheduled Club events. 

9. Hoist areas adjacent the Guest Dock must be kept clear at all times.

10. WIFI for The Club is ccomplementary. Once your laptop recognizes the signal, click on the “home” key and the SFYC Home Page will allow you to sign in.

11. Guest Dock Usage: Please note that tables may not be set up on the Guest Dock. Cocktails and hors d'ouevres are to be conifined to the Cruise-In boats.

12. Open fires, including barbeques, are not permitted in the dock area at any time.

13. Noise must be kept at a minimum after sun down.

14. PETS: PLEASE NOTE THAT PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON CLUB PROPERTY.

15. In most cases, dress around The Club is casual and informal. Shirts and footwear must be worn at all times when in the Clubhouse.

16. Alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto, or removed from, The Club at any time.

17. Ice is available on request from the bartender.

18. Master Card and Visa, only, are the only accepted form of payment at The Club. We do not accept cash. There is a 10% guest charge added to food, beverage and Ship's Store purchases.

19. The Clubhouse opens at 0800 hours Wednesday through Sunday.

20. SMOKING: IS PROHIBITED IN ALL CLUB FACILITIES AND AT ANY LOCATION ON CLUB PROPERTY, INDOORS OR OUTDOORS, INCLUDING THE HARBOR, DECK, PARKING LOT AND LAWN AREAS.
