The San Francisco Yacht Club has a long tradition of sailing and racing excellence.

Since its founding in 1869, members of SFYC have won Olympic medals and raced in all corners of the globe. The Race Council has been effective in attracting championship regattas of national and international importance due to wide recognition of the Club's race management abilities and the dedication of its members.  This program requires over 4,800 volunteer hours each year from our members and enables sailors from all over the world to visit beautiful Marin County and sail in the world-renowned San Francisco Bay breeze.
