Thank you for considering The San Francisco Yacht Club for your next social event. We have some of the most spectacular waterfront views in the Bay Area, a variety of meeting, dining and entertainment gathering spaces for you and your guests to enjoy throughout the event.

We are happy to tailor the event to your personal tastes and desires. Our Chef specializes in current West Coast Cuisine featuring fresh, local ingredients, many of which are sourced in the North Bay region within just a few miles of us. You can review and make your choices from our menus, or let us arrange a meeting so we can offer a custom menu that's perfectly suited to your wishes.

Beverages may similarly be tailored for your event, ranging from house selections to premium brands and an excellent selection of wines. We offer a number of different arrangements for beverage service to meet your needs.

We can also coordinate a broad range of additional services to complete your arrangements, including: floral design; officiants; live or recorded music; photography and video; audio-visual equipment and setup; meeting room equipment; and transportation.

      The Clubhouse

      The Main Dining Room will accommodate up to 160 people. 

      The Commodore's Room

      Accommodates up to 40 for sit down service. 60 is comfortable for a stand up reception. This room also opens out onto the bayside deck for casual BBQs in the summer months.

      The Cove House

      A historic building apart from the Clubhouse which was a home in 1915. This renovated building is now available for banquets of up to 60 people with an additional 55 seated in the outdoor patio. This patio area can also be tented in inclement weather. The Cove House is also ideal for a business seminar or retreat. 

      The Corinthian Deck

      Accommodates approximately 125 for stand up receptions or 40 for a sit down BBQ (weather permitting) at umbrella tables.

      The Sailing Center (Eldridge Room, 2nd floor)

      Accommodates up to 50 for seminars or business retreats. Beverage service only. Meals can be taken in the Clubhouse a short stroll away. It is a very quiet area with breath-taking views of Belvedere Cove and Racoon Strait.

    • Event Details

      Our Catering Manager will work with you to confirm all of the arrangements for your event. The details will be incorporated into a Banquet Summary, which will govern the terms and conditions for your event. This document must be reviewed, signed, dated and returned to us on a timely basis before your event.
      All event services and details should be finalized ten days before your event.

      Cancellation Fee / Deposits

      The Club’s facilities are made available to our members and non-members sponsored by members for their private use on a space available basis and are subject to the Club’s House Rules and Regulations. The reservation must be cancelled within 30 days of the event. All cancellations must be received in writing.


      The Banquet Summary will outline the estimated prices for all arrangements of your event. Thereafter, the prices are guaranteed for your event. 20% service is added to food and beverage items and 8.25% local tax is additional to food, beverage, fees and service fees. That reflects the (++) symbol you see after food and beverages.

      Guarantees and Payment

      Guaranteed guest counts and entrée counts must be provided no less than 72 hours in advance, and will establish the minimum charge for the event, even if fewer guests attend. An on-site guest count will be taken and you will be billed for any attending guests in excess of the guarantee for sit down events.. Member-sponsored event charges may be paid by third parties, but the sponsoring Member guarantees all charges and is responsible for the conduct of all guests and any liabilities they incur.

      Best Interests of the Club

      The Club reserves the right to cancel an event or to change an event space at any time if it is deemed to be in the best interests of the Club. The member must be in full compliance with Club policies and current with his or her account during all phases of an event. The Club name, logo and burgee may not be used for promotional purposes. It is forbidden for guests to conduct solicitation, advertisement, exhibits, demonstrations or sales on the Club premises without approval of the General Manager. Special parking and security requirements such as offsite or valet parking, at the host’s expense, may be required. The Club is not responsible for parked vehicles or stolen property or damage to personal belongings. Event activities and guests must comply with all Club rules. The SFYC does not permit smoking anywhere on the property. Cell phones and other personal devices are permitted if silenced in the Clubhouse or common areas.
      Phone conversations are not permitted in these areas.


      All food, beverage and special services must be arranged with and provided by the Club. The only exceptions to this are Champagne and wine (you may bring your own; however, there will be a Corkage Charge for our handling and service) and Specialty Cakes.
